How your personal information is collected, used and protected on this website.

This Privacy Policy explains how M. Bilal Haider (“I”, “me”, “my”), a freelance WordPress developer, collects, uses and protects personal information when you visit mbilalhaider.com, use its free tools, chat with the website assistant, contact me, or receive an email from me.

Information I collect

Information you give me. When you fill in a form on this website (contact form, free audit, quote request, cost calculator, website fix request, AI redesign offer, speed test or health check), send a WhatsApp message or chat with the assistant, I may receive:

  • Your name
  • Email address
  • Phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your website address
  • The service you are interested in and your budget
  • Any message or project details you write

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this site records basic technical data: IP address (used for spam protection and rate limiting), browser type, pages visited, the page that referred you and campaign tags in the link (for example utm_source). If Google Analytics is enabled, it collects anonymous usage statistics using cookies.

Publicly available business information. To find businesses that may need website help, I use public sources such as Google Maps, public business directories and the business’s own website. This can include the business name, address, phone number, website, public rating and a published business email address. I do not collect private profile data from social networks.

How I use your information

  • To reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote or audit, and deliver the services you request
  • To send you a confirmation email and, if you do not reply, up to two short follow-ups about your enquiry
  • To send a business a one-time introduction or proposal about its website, with at most one follow-up
  • To protect the website from spam, abuse and security threats
  • To understand which pages and campaigns bring visitors, so I can improve the website

I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information.

Business outreach emails

If you received an email from me about your business website, your business contact details came from a public source (see above). The legal basis is my legitimate interest in offering relevant services to businesses. Every such email includes an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe or ask me to stop, your address is added to a do-not-contact list and you will not be emailed again. You can also simply reply “stop” or write to bilalwithwpdev@gmail.com.

AI chat assistant

The chat assistant on this website may send the messages you type to an AI provider (such as Anthropic or another provider) to generate a reply. Please do not share passwords, payment details or other sensitive information in the chat. If you type an email address or phone number, the conversation is saved as an enquiry so I can follow up.

Free tools

The image compressor and most generators run entirely in your browser; your files are not uploaded. The speed test and website checks send the website address you enter to Google PageSpeed Insights or fetch the public page, and results may be cached for a short time.

Cookies and local storage

This site uses a small amount of browser storage to remember, for example, that you have already seen the free-audit popup, and to keep the chat open between pages. If analytics is enabled, Google Analytics sets its own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Third-party services

Depending on how you contact me or which features you use, your information may be processed by: Google (Analytics, Maps, PageSpeed, Gmail), WhatsApp / Meta, the AI provider used by the chat assistant, my web hosting company, and email delivery services. Each provider handles data under its own privacy policy.

How long I keep information

Enquiries and client records are kept for as long as needed to provide the service and for normal business and tax records, usually up to 3 years after our last contact. Prospect records for businesses that never replied are deleted or anonymised within 12 months. Do-not-contact entries are kept so that I can respect your request.

Security

This website uses HTTPS, spam protection, login protection and regular security scans. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal information, to object to or restrict its use, and to withdraw consent. To make a request, email bilalwithwpdev@gmail.com. I will reply within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This website and my services are intended for businesses and adults. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Changes to this policy

I may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed.
